On Friday, April 19, fashion enthusiasts and deal hunters descended upon Plumbers Hall to preview the goods at Modern Vintage Chicago. The night included two hours of early buying, free makeovers by Estée Lauder, an unforgettable fashion presentation and an unexpected live entertainer.

To make the shopping experience a little more fun for our esteemed media attendees, yours truly hosted a scavenger hunt that also allowed them to flex their social media skills on Twitter or Instagram. With market bucks up for grabs, local bloggers and media eagerly scoured the place, in search of specific items: Sequins, Chanel, Animal Print, Vintage Fur Stole, Emerald Green, Necktie, Gold Earrings, Exotic Skin Handbag, Remixed Vintage.

Congrats to Jaye of Curvatude.com and Taneisha of SecondCityStyle.com on the win!

The preview itself was really all about the guys. And, boy, did they bring it!

I spotted these two fashionable gents at the beginning of the night.

In the midst of all the shopping and the insanely good DJ set provided by DJ Michael Lee, ImagineFashions presented looks using merchandise from participating vendors.

Styled by some of the most fashionable and highly regarded men in local media and culminating with a "decades of fashion" finale, the fashion exhibition was a perfect display of the variety and quality of items available for purchase at Modern Vintage.

A burlesque dancer interrupted the regularly scheduled program and quickly loosened up the crowd.

Guests left the event quite pleased, a bit more fashion conscious and with a little less money in their pocket. Needless to say, the night was a success and we're looking forward to round 2 in October. See you there!
