
Always Classic, Always New…Collectibles: A Rose is a Rose is a Rose! Part 1
Indeed it is….one of most popular of all flowers (runs a very close second on my list of flowers I love…right behind, or along side, my beloved Lily of the Valley!). The rose has been beloved through the centuries in art, fashion, textiles…you name it the rose is there! It’s June when this lush flower makes its first appearance in our gardens and can be enjoyed right until the first frost..lots of time to enjoy the REAL thing. Lucky us we can enjoy their blooms all year in our clothing, our furnishings, accessories to adorn us or to enhances our rooms. We can read about them, cultivate them, scent ourselves with them, admire them in paintings….let’s take a look at some examples.
