Fall is my favorite fashion season and there are definitely some upcoming fall trends.

As far as materials with lower temperatures, we’ll be able to keep it cozy in pieces such as vintage furs (which RSM is great for), shearling and velvet since they will be all the rage this fall. Think of coats, jackets and pieces that are soft but also look and feel luxurious.

For colors we’ll see burgundy continue to be popular as well as red, like a bold, power red. Also we’ll see some metallic and metal colors such as gold (the fall sister to the summery yellow) and silver.

Suits and suiting pieces are very big for fall. Celebrities such as Karlie Kloss, Kim Kardashian and Victoria Beckham have already begun to wear what will be one of this fall’s hottest trends. Matching suit sets are great and also pieces like a sleek buttoned-up blazer worn as a dress.

Another fashion piece for this fall is the midi skirt (one of my personal faves). Midi skirts are great for summer but can be easily worn for fall by adding a sheer blouse and a great pair of booties or classic pumps.
